About Cote d’Ivoire: Located in West Africa, Cote d’Ivoire’s capital is Yamoussoukro. It is a melting pot of over 60 ethnic groups, including the Akan and Guro. French is the official language, while many speak local languages such as Baoulé and Dioula. The country is known for its cacao production, being one of the largest producers globally. A unique feature is the Basilica of Our Lady of Peace in Yamoussoukro, which is considered the largest church in the world, modeled after St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome.
