Korean is the official language, and the country follows Juche ideology, a self-reliance principle developed by its founder, Kim Il-sung. North Korea’s economy is state-controlled, with limited foreign trade and a focus on military development. The country is largely isolated from the international community due to its nuclear program and human rights issues.
